Introducing the Holdfast Playing Chair Kit, designed specifically for musicians. Inspired by Irish and Swiss traditional design we've been designing & refining this chair for the last two years. After many, many hours of real-world testing from session players and producers here in Nashville it’s clear that this chair actually helps the fatigue and posture challenges professional musicians deal with daily.

THIS IS A KIT. The buyer will recieve final sanded parts and all supplies for the final assembly. This includes glueing 7 pre-fitted joints and tapping wedges in with a standard hammer. The final step is sanding the dried joints and applying the provided wipe on finish. I provide the glue, wedges, sandpaper and finish. It is about 1-2 hours of fun work to put it together depending on your experience with wood working.

Video instructions are also provided with each kit purchase, cutomized with your specific chair. I will demonstrate how to complete the chair and dry fit the chair for the customer to show exactly how each labeled part fits together. This is a great gift option for the woodworking musician in your life, or if you’ve always wanted to try chair-making! This is a seriously great little chair:)

The standard kit includes an Alder seat and backrest with Red Oak legs and spindles. Walnut is optional for an additional $75.
